Privacy

Pyrworks LLC, based in California, United States, is the controller for account, membership and waitlist data.

What we collect

Firebase Authentication handles Google sign-in or email/password accounts. We use your email and Firebase user ID to link purchases, provide access and send account notices. Google sign-in may provide your profile name. A verified email is required to buy.

When you start checkout, we create or reuse a Stripe Customer with your email and account ID, even if you abandon checkout. Stripe/Link handles your name, billing address and payment details under its own privacy notice as reseller and merchant of record. We do not store card numbers or save a payment method for future WireHarness charges.

Our purchase records contain customer and payment identifiers, amount, currency, payment and refund dates, receipt links, and membership status and number. We store the version of the terms you accepted and when. Checkout holds and payment events confirm membership, enforce the 100-spot limit and support refunds.

The waitlist requires your email and current tool. Role, willingness to pay and harness description are optional. We record signup source (campaign parameters and referring website host), confirmation status and timestamps. Please do not include sensitive information in answers. Confirmation links expire after 24 hours. Updated answers for confirmed or unsubscribed entries require email confirmation; confirming an update does not resubscribe an unsubscribed entry.

We process IP addresses and bot-check responses to prevent abuse. Rate-limit records use hashed IP or email identifiers and request counts.

Why we use it

We rely on contract to provide accounts and memberships; consent for waitlist emails, withdrawable at any time; legitimate interests for preventing abuse and understanding demand from survey answers and signup source; and legal obligation for records kept for tax and accounting.

Waitlist subscribers get progress updates and launch news about WireHarness from Pyrworks LLC. Members get emails about early access, their membership and purchase-related updates. Purchasing does not join the waitlist.

Providers and international processing

Google Firebase provides authentication, database storage, hosting and server functions. Our backend runs in the United States (us-central1). Providers may process data in other countries. For details about international processing and applicable transfer safeguards, contact privacy@wireharness.app.

Resend sends our emails. When we send waitlist or member updates, we copy the relevant contact details into Resend for that send: email and, for the waitlist, confirmed survey answers and signup source; for members, membership number and Stripe customer ID. Firestore holds waitlist status, answers and signup source, and membership records. Pending waitlist entries receive confirmation emails but are not included in waitlist update exports. Pending answer changes are not exported until confirmed. Member updates go to active members in a separate audience; purchasing or refunding does not change a separately joined waitlist. Link handles checkout data and receipts under its own privacy notice. We share data with these service providers as needed; we do not sell personal data.

Browser storage and tracking

Our first-party analytics records page paths, external referrer origins, campaign labels, coarse viewport width, color preference, primary language, device class, section views, named clicks, waitlist outcomes, checkout and account milestones, visible engagement and scroll depth. We use legitimate interests in understanding how the site is used as our lawful basis. Analytics never records emails, account IDs, form values, full URLs or raw user agents. IP addresses are used only for in-memory abuse limits and are never stored or hashed for analytics.

Analytics uses no cookies, localStorage or IndexedDB. Each page load has a random identifier held only in memory. SessionStorage key presale-visit holds a random identifier for this tab session only, to group events within a visit; it does not identify you across visits. We send no analytics when Global Privacy Control is enabled or Do Not Track is set to “1”. Analytics events are retained for 13 months (395 days), then deleted automatically; deletion is asynchronous.

Separately, Firebase Auth uses IndexedDB/localStorage to keep you signed in after you use sign-in. Session storage key presale-redirect records the destination after sign-in. Waitlist campaign attribution is held in page memory. Cloudflare Turnstile checks for bots on the waitlist form. Stripe/Link may use cookies on their checkout pages under their own notices.

Retention and your choices

Rate-limit records expire automatically one day after their rate-limit window ends. Unconfirmed waitlist entries expire automatically 30 days after the last signup attempt. Expired records are deleted asynchronously. Confirmed waitlist entries are kept until unsubscribe or deletion. Purchase records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Account and operational records are kept as needed to provide the service, address requests and meet legal obligations.

Unsubscribes are honored across both Firestore and Resend. Support handles unsubscribe and deletion requests by hand, and preserves suppression when contacts are imported for updates. Use an email’s unsubscribe link or email support with “Unsubscribe”; the link opens an email to support. We may retain a minimal suppression record to respect your choice. Required purchase records may remain after deletion.

Where applicable, you have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawing consent, and to complain to your local data-protection authority or the UK ICO. Email privacy@wireharness.app to exercise your rights. We may ask you to verify account ownership.

Age and changes

The presale and waitlist are for people 18 and older. If a child has given us information, contact privacy@wireharness.app so we can investigate and delete it where required.

Changes are posted here with a new effective date. Material changes are emailed to members and confirmed waitlist subscribers.
